A 70-year-old man who was reported missing earlier in the day was found dead Wednesday evening in Patton Township, according to township police.
His body was located at about 6:30 p.m. in a wooded area near Circleville Park. No foul play is suspected in his death and there is no threat to the public, Sgt. Brian Shaffer said.
The man was missing for about nine hours when police were requested to assist in the search for him at 3:30 p.m.
His identity and the cause of death have not been released.
Centre LifeLink EMS and Alpha Fire Company assisted police.
