A motorcyclist was taken late Wednesday to Mount Nittany Medical Center after a crash in Ferguson Township, emergency responders said.

Police said the man was riding in Pennsylvania Furnace when his motorcycle collided with a deer shortly before 10 p.m. It happened on the 2000 block of West Pine Grove Road — a rural portion of state Route 45.

The motorcyclist’s name and condition were not immediately available. He suffered a leg injury, according to initial reports at the scene.
