Multiple Business Burglaries Reported in Ferguson Township; Public’s Help Wanted

Ferguson Township police are investigating several business burglaries logged within the past several weeks, Centre County Crimestoppers reported.

The burglaries include these reported incidents:

  • Sometime between the afternoon of Nov. 23 and the morning of Nov. 25, two cameras, a dolly and a safe were taken from a business on the 2100 block of Sandy Drive. Forced entry was reported.

  • Sometime overnight from Dec. 11 into Dec. 12, cash was taken from a business on the 600 block of West Cherry Lane. Forced entry was reported.

  • Sometime overnight from Dec. 16 into Dec. 17, four burglaries happened on the 3400 and 3500 blocks of West College Avenue. Each involved forced entry; all but one involved the theft of cash.

  • Sometime between Friday afternoon and Monday afternoon, a business on the 1400 block of Martin Street was targeted. Forced entry was reported; cash, removed.

Police said each scene was processed for physical evidence. Evidence is now being assessed, according to a news release.

‘It’s unknown at this time if each of the burglaries (is) related to (one) another or to the recent residential burglaries’ on the 300 block of Blue Course Drive, the release reads.

Authorities are asking any witnesses — and anyone else with any information — to call township police at (814) 237-1172. People may report tips anonymously to Centre County Crimestoppers at (877) 99-CRIME or at tip@centrecountycrimestoppers.org.

Crimestoppers pays rewards of as much as $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
