Nina Brown: Nina Brown, the director of what would become the Penn State Center for Performing Arts, died Sunday in Potomac Falls, Va. She was 87.

Brown, who retired from the position in 1985, had been a major influence on the arts in Centre County since moving here in 1953, the Centre Daily Times reported.

Students in Moscow: All Penn State students studying abroad in Moscow, as well as students visiting Moscow from their program in Berlin, have been accounted for following Monday’s attacks, The Daily Collegian reported.

Two female suicide bombers set off explosions that killed at least 39 people and injures at least 60, but university spokeswoman Annemarie Mountz told the Collegian all Penn State students were safe.

The Pink Pedal: Nicholas Gober, a Penn State junior, will spend his summer biking across the country with three other college students in a fight against breast cancer, The Daily Collegian reported.
