The United States Association of Collegiate Fencing Clubs is bringing its 2025 USACFC Championships to the Nittany Valley Sports Centre near State College this weekend.
A premier collegiate fencing event, the championships on Saturday and Sunday will welcome teams from more than 35 schools to the sports complex at 177 Champions Drive in Patton Township.
“Hosting the championship in Happy Valley, where fencing has such a strong tradition, is extremely exciting,” Jo Klatzman Higgison, USACFC president, said in a statement. “It’s amazing to see how deeply this community values the sport. I’m looking forward to witnessing our collegiate athletes continue to honor the tradition and comradery of fencing in this special place.”
Top top programs such as Boston University, Cornell, Texas A&M, the United States Military Academy and Cal will compete at the event, which will include pool rounds on Saturday, followed by direct elimination rounds and championship finals on Sunday.
The event is open to spectators.

The Happy Valley Sports & Entertainment Alliance secured the hosting rights for the championships.
