Each year, I make a promise to myself sometime in August or September that I will start my holiday shopping early. Purchasing a few gifts a week for several months always seems like the best plan. What often results is the purchase off one or two gifts that are usually misplaced and forgotten by the time I really start my Christmas shopping in early to mid-December.

On Saturday, Nov. 11, Artistic Horizon is sponsoring One Stop Holiday Shopping at the State College Friends School, 1900 University Drive.
Aiming to offer multiple options in one place for holiday shopping, the event boasts home items, personal care gift items, hand made gifts, art pieces, handmade jewelry, candles, and other miscellaneous gifts. Some businesses included are Avon, Pampered Chef, Lia Sophia Jewelry, Discovery Toys, Southern Living, Bio Medics Vitamins, Renaissance Impressions Gifts, and more.
There will also be a Bears that Care Candle fundraiser and SC Friends School Bake Sale fundraiser.
The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the S.C. Friends School.
