Starting Saturday, drivers can expect to see intermittent lane restrictions on Park Avenue, Penn State announced Thursday.
The state Department of Transportation will be making repairs to the roadway through Aug. 12, mainly between Orchard Road and the Snider Agricultural Arena, according to the university. Sidewalk and curb repairs also are expected at various intersections.
Work is scheduled for normal business hours, though Penn State indicated that a major part of the University Park project — milling and a pavement overlay from Orchard Road to Atherton Street — will happen from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. July 26 through Aug. 12.
‘More significant lane restrictions will apply during this time,’ the university wrote in a press release.
In addition, Pollock Road between Bigler and Shortlidge roads will be closed from Monday to Friday next week. The intersection of Shortlidge and Pollock will remain open, allowing drivers to turn left from Shortlidge onto Pollock and right from Pollock onto Shortlidge.
