Even though the Temple game is quickly approaching, it is more difficult than usual to not look back to last week’s football match-up, as not only the team’s record took a hit. Joe Paterno underwent surgery earlier this week after a nasty collision with a helmet during Saturday’s away game.
Now, according to a Centre Daily Times article, Paterno will be absent from the sideline for the first time in 29 seasons. Team doctor Wayne Sebastianelli confirmed Wednesday that Paterno will not be on the sideline for either of the Nittany Lions’ two remaining regular season games. There is a chance that he will spend the game in the Beaver Stadium press box.
Paterno remains hospitalized at Mount Nittany Medical Center after his surgery on Sunday. His release will be evaluated on a day-to-day basis. (Read More)
