A pedestrian was flown to the hospital after being hit by a truck Tuesday afternoon just outside of Bellefonte.
A 28-year-old man from Bucks County ran into the path of a small dump truck traveling westbound on the 700 block of Willowbank Street in Spring Township, near the Hot Dog House, at about 1:40 p.m., according to a preliminary investigation by township police.
The man was in critical condition at the scene and was flown by LifeFlight helicopter, which landed at Lambert Hall on Forge Road, to UPMC Williamsport.
Police currently do not expect to file charges against the driver of the truck, the department wrote in a Facebook post.
Willowbank Street was closed in the area of the crash for about two hours.
