With clear skies and warm temperatures in State College, construction crews were hard at work Wednesday at the site of the Pegula Ice Arena.
Slated to be completed in the fall of 2013, the 6,000-seat arena will host both men and women’s ice hockey at the Division I level.
The facility will also include a practice rink, offices, locker room and player areas.
The cost of the arena is privately funded as part of the $102 million gift from Buffalo Sabres owner Terry Pegula, the largest in the university’s history.
