If you’re a Penn State football season ticket holder you may have noticed that you don’t have your tickets yet. It may have also crossed your mind that Penn State is just a week from starting the 2017 season.

You aren’t the only one who has noticed.

“We’ve had a very challenging week, but not anywhere near as challenging as the week our fans have had,” associate athletic director Tom McGrath said on Thursday night during Penn State football’s weekly radio show. “We have not delivered on a very reasonable expectation. There’s just no excuse for this. We are working on it. trying to make the best of an unfortunate situation.”

The issue appears to come from a new booklet that will hold the tickets. While McGrath says that all season tickets should be in the mail in the coming days, there is little doubt things will be changing in the future.

“This is not the way we expect to do business,” McGrath said. “But it is what we have right now, and we’re working to address (it) and have tickets in fans’ hands in time for the game. Next year it will not be this way.’

So it might be cutting it close, but for the vast majority of fans awaiting Penn State’s upcoming season, those tickets should be in hand by next week. And with over 9,000 new season ticket holders, there are plenty of fans eagerly awaiting that package.
