The Penn State men’s basketball team nearly let the steam out of Purdue on Wednesday, falling to the Boilermakers in a tough 63-62 loss.
No. 14 Purdue sealed its victory in West Lafayette, Ind., during the game’s final moments, according to GoPSUsports.com.
‘The Boilermakers were up by as many as 14 in the first half, but a 22-8 run split between the first and second halves gave Penn State a one point lead early in the second half,’ sports journalist Dan Vecellio wrote on Onward State. ‘From then on, the game was back and forth until (Boilermaker Jajuan) Johnson’s dagger.’
Jeff Brooks led Penn State with 19 points. Onward State’s full report is posted here.
