When Adam Taliaferro, Anthony Lubrano and Ryan McCombie start their three-year terms July 1 on the Penn State Board of Trustees, they will all be looking to make some sort of impact.
On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, StateCollege.com will profile the three winners and look at their vision for the board moving forward.
Meanwhile, in a year that shattered records in regard to candidates running – there were 86 – and ballots cast – votes tabulated were 37,579 – one number stood out more than the others.
Voter turnout was only 19.02 percent. According to the board, the total number of alumni eligible to vote was 197,517.
Delegates of the agricultural societies elected incumbent Carl Schaffer and a newcomer, Donald Cotner.
The board re-elected Kenneth Frazier and Edward Hintz.
