The bus is wrapped and ready to roll.

Penn State’s Coaches Caravan kicks off Monday with a pair of events in the Philadelphia area. It is the first of 18 stops across seven states, spread out over the next three weeks.

Football coach Bill O’Brien will be joined by scores of other Penn State coaches along the way, touring various alumni hotbeds to meet them, greet them and, yes, solicit Nittany Lion Club memberships and season ticket sales.

‘I felt like it was important for me to reach out to as many people as possible,’ O’Brien said in a press release. ‘People need to get to know me, and I really want to get to know the alums and fans out there that really care about Penn State.’
