Penn State Director of Player Development Anthony Crespino has taken a job at Texas State as Director of Football Ops.
A university spokesperson confirmed the hire on Monday afternoon to StateCollege.com. Crespino started at his new job this week.
Crespino’s tenure at Penn State was a short one. He joined James Franklin’s staff in March after departing Western Michigan where he filled a similar role beginning in January of 2013.
Prior to working at WMU, Crespino held the position of assistant director of football operations and recruiting coordinator at Texas State during the 2012 season.
The reason for Crespino’s departure is unknown but admittedly less important than the vacancy he leaves behind. Crespino is still listed in Penn State’s athletic directory.
*An earlier edition of this story stated in the headline that Crespino was Director of Football Ops. This was incorrect. Crespino will take over as Director of Ops at his new job at Texas State.
