Sad news this holiday season as Lions247 is reporting that former Penn State offensive lineman Adam Gress, has died following an accident. The reported sourced multiple former teammates, sources close to the Nittany Lions and a family source.
Details are still emerging, but according to the report Gress did not recover after falling and hitting his head Thursday.
At 6-foot-7, 320-pounds Gress was perhaps best know for his size, a massive lineman who played for Penn State from 2009 to 2013, a key cog in the Nittany Lions’ turbulent years following the Jerry Sandusky scandal.
StateCollege.com will have more as this story develops.
The Penn State Football Family would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family & friends of former letterman Adam Gress. His commitment to this university & this program will never be forgotten. pic.twitter.com/RN2q8nFfVa

So sadden / heart broken to hear the news about Adam Gress. Not only was he a great teammate but an awesome friend. Adam was in the 2009 recruiting class and was a big component in helping restore the roar back in 2012. Gress I love you man this one hurts to the core. #WeAre
