Former Penn State receiver and State College native Jordan Norwood made a little history of his own on Sunday night during Super Bowl 50.
The record in question? A 61-yard punt return that set the mark for the longest punt return in Super Bowl history. Seemingly ready to accept a fair catch, Norwood caught the ball, suddenly racing down the left side of the field only to be tackled deep in Carolina territory.
Denver would ultimately settled for a field goal on the ensuing drive but won the game 24-10.
Longest punt return is Superbowl history, Jordan Norwood… all because the #Panthers didn’t want to tackle him – pic.twitter.com/BsTTyfHnT6
