Only days after kicker Alex Barbir’s verbal commitment to Penn State star placekicker commit Quinn Nordin did what has long been anticipated, decomitting from Penn State’s 2016 recruiting class..
Nordin, considered one of the best kicking prospects since 2012 is perhaps most well known for releasing a music video to announce his commitment to Penn State. While recruiting continues to be an up and down endeavor for both prospects and coaches, Nordin’s theatrics certainly make Wednesday night’s news a bit more awkward.
According to his Twitter account, Nordin will take an official visit to USC prior to National Signing Day. Even so, the Michigan native is expected to eventually sign with his home state and take his talents to Ann Arbor.
Penn State will return both Joey Julius and Tyler Davis next season as well as the addition of Barbir rated No. 8 in the nation at his position.
