Often seen as focused, stern, and sometimes blunt, Penn State head coach Bill O’Brien doesn’t always have a chance to open up and laugh. He got his chance this week though making an appearance on ESPN’s show “Highly Questionable” during which he spoke about his growing patience, and his chin of all things.
“Personally, I’ve learned a lot about patience,” O’Brien said “I’ve learned that 4th-and-1 isn’t always the most important thing in the world. The most important thing in the world is to do the best job you can for your family, be there for your family and support your family.”
“I still don’t know how to shave my chin,” he joked at the end of his interview. “I blame my mom for that. She’s got a dimple in her chin. I love my mom, but she doesn’t have to shaver her chin like I do. That’s a great question. Hey, thanks a lot. … I get asked that all the time by my buddies I grew up with and went to school with. That’s a great source of chop-busting. Is there something growing out of it right now? I store water in there.”
