Penn State receiver Chris Godwin leads the Nittany Lions in receptions and receiving yards this season.

And maybe he has a robot to thank for that.

Riding into his Tuesday press conference appearance in style, Godwin made his way up the ramp to the podium on a self balancing drifting board. According to Godwin it holds a charge for hours and can get him around campus with ease. Allegedly it keeps his legs fresh.

“I got that actually about a month ago,” Godwin said with a smile. “I used it to go to class and get around campus all the time. It takes about two to three hours to charge and it lasts me all day. So it’s pretty useful to get around. It kind of saves my legs for practice and for the games and things like that.”

It also might just make him the coolest kid in class, which never hurts matters any. Godwin is the only player with one of these so-called leg savers. While Godwin didn’t say what brand of was riding around, but similar models go from a few hundred dollars online.

The bad news, Godwin can’t take it on the field.

“I wish it could help me run routes.” He added with a laugh.
