The Penn State and Temple University football teams will sustain their cross-state rivalry with scheduled games in 2014, 2015 and 2016, the schools announced Monday.

That means the Nittany Lions and the Owls will play in five of the next six seasons. Their 40th meeting is scheduled for Saturday at Beaver Stadium, where tickets are still available. Penn State leads the series, 35-3-1.

Next year, Penn State will play the Owls on Sept. 17 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The Owls will come back to Beaver Stadium on Sept. 22, 2012; Aug. 30, 2014; and Sept. 17, 2016. The Lions will play again in Philadelphia on Sept. 19, 2015.

The Saturday game between Penn State (2-1) and Temple (3-0) is slated for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff. It will be televised on the Big Ten Network. Tickets are available via www.gopsusports.com; buyers also can call (814) 865-5555 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
