Penn State Police are investigating the report of a rape that occurred between 11 p.m. on Thursday and 5 a.m. on Friday in the Pollock or South residence halls on campus.

Police said the assailant, a student, is known to the individual who was subjected to a forcible sexual assault. Police did not release the gender of either individual or whether the victim is a student.

According to police, it can be assumed that conditions continue to exist that may pose a threat to members and guests of the Penn State community.

Anyone with information that might be helpful in the investigation can contact Penn State Police at 814-863-1111, at 26 Eisenhower Parking Deck or anonymously online by clicking on ‘Silent Witness.’
