Penn State’s College of Communications and the students who participate in its Centre County Report got some exciting news this weekend.
Winner for Best College/Univ Newscast is @psumc for “The Centre County Report” #EmmyMA

The group beat out the Temple Update to take home a Mid-Atlantic Emmy for Best College/University Newscast. CCR is produced entirely by students in the College of Communication’s state-of-the-art newsroom and multimedia production facility. Newscasts are broadcast locally and featured on StateCollege.com every Friday.
The group won for its episode on November 2, 2012, which can be viewed below:
