For more than two hours, with eulogies and prayer, with photos and with music, a Penn State crowd paid its respects Thursday to the late Joe Paterno.
The former Penn State football coach, 85, died Sunday at Mount Nittany Medical Center. “A Memorial for Joe,” his public memorial service, drew an estimated 12,000 people to the university’s Bryce Jordan Center, concluding shortly after 4 p.m.
