Pittsburgh-based doughnut shop Peace, Love and Little Donuts is opening a storefront in State College. A sign posted outside a Calder Way way window says the shop is coming soon.
The doughnut shop will take over the empty storefront at 421 E. Calder Way formerly occupied by Gamer’s Arena. The video game store was in the space from 2010 until June 2016.
Peace, Love, and Little Donuts originated in Pittsburgh’s Strip District but, according to its website, has franchised 23 stores since opening in 2009. It has locations in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Utah, Oregon and Florida.
The 1970s-inspired stores feature donuts in three categories: ‘Groovy,’ ‘Far Out,’ or ‘Funkadelic.’
No information was immediately available on an opening date for the Calder Way location.
