A Centre County man is facing federal charges for social media posts in which he threatened to kill then President-elect Donald Trump and “MAGA Republicans,” according to the U.S. Justice Department.
Jacob Buckley, 22, of Port Matilda used a TikTok account to make three threatening posts on Jan. 16, four days before Trump’s second inauguration, Acting U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Pennsylvania John Gurganus said on Wednesday.
Buckley allegedly wrote “I’m going to kill Trump,” “Bro we going into a literal oligarchy in 4 days and im going to kill Trump,” and “I hate MAGA republicans bro on god I’ll kill all of them.”
If convicted, he faces a maximum of five years in prison followed by supervised release and fines.
The case was investigated by the Secret Service and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney K. Wesley Mishoe.
