State College police are looking for a suspect in connection with an alleged aggravated assault that sent a man to the hospital over the weekend.

A group of individuals assaulted a college-aged male at about 2 a.m. on Sunday outside of Lion’s Den, 118 S. Garner St., according to a police. No weapons were involved, Lt. K Aston said.

The man suffered injuries to his face and head and was unconscious when police arrived, Aston said. He regained consciousness and was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment, then later released.

Police are searching for the suspect pictured below. He was wearing a large chain necklace with a “TRD” pendant and left on foot in the area of 300 E. Calder Way, according to the department.

Aston described the alleged assault as “pretty serious” and said the man was “helpless” at times during the beating.
