Police on Friday arrested two men accused of selling methamphetamine in Bellefonte.

Taylon A. Hamilton, 30, of Williamsport, and Zackary A. Lyter, 26, of Bellefonte, face felony charges of possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communication facility.

In both cases, investigators with the Centre County Drug Task Force learned from an informant that Hamilton and Lyter were selling meth from residences in Bellefonte, according to affidavits of probable cause filed by a Spring Township detective. Both men were “in possession of a large amount of methamphetamine,” police wrote.

Hamilton sold methamphetamine in amounts of 10 and 13 grams to the informant for $160 each during two controlled buys earlier in March, according to the affidavit.

Lyter sold the informant a gram of meth for $60 during a controlled buy in January, police wrote.

Hamilton is charged with four felony counts of possession with intent to deliver, two felony counts of criminal use of a communication facility and three misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalis.

Charges are pending against multiple other defendants as a result of a search warrant executed in Hamilton’s case Friday morning at a Pike Street residence, Spring Township police wrote in a Facebook post.

Hamilton is also facing a charge of possession of a stolen firearm in Lycoming County.

Lyter is charged with two felony counts of possession with intent to deliver, one felony count of criminal use of a communication facility and one misdemeanor count each of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Hamilton and Lyter were arraigned by District Judge Kelley Gillette-Walker, who denied bail. Both men had been out on bail on similar charges, according to court dockets.

Preliminary hearings are scheduled for Wednesday
