Police: Doors Forced Open at State College Apartments; Investigations Ongoing

Apartment doors have been pried open or kicked in recently at several borough addresses, State College police said Wednesday.

At 112 E. College Ave., three doors at two apartments were pried open, according to a report made Tuesday.

In another incident, two apartment doors were reported to have been kicked in at 221 S. Barnard St. And at 307 Locust Lane, two ground-level apartments had their doors kicked in, too, police said.

All the reports were filed this week.

Police said they’re investigating all three incidents. Other details weren’t immediately available Wednesday afternoon.

A number of burglaries have been reported in the area since late last week. Borough police have released several safety tips for use during the holiday period.
