The man killed in a Ferguson Township vehicle crash Monday has been identified as Vaughn I. Houck, 51, of West Pine Grove Road in Pennsylvania Furnace, township police reported Tuesday.

Police said Houck was driving his Ford F-250 pickup truck at the time of the wreck. About 1 p.m. Monday, for reasons unknown, the westbound vehicle left state Route 45 and drove into a house on Wyoming Avenue, just off the state road in Pennsylvania Furnace.

The home was destroyed in a resulting fire.

An investigation into the incident is continuing, police said in a news release. An autopsy conducted this morning eliminated the possibility that Houck suffered a ‘catastrophic medical event, such as a heart attack, that would account for the loss of control of the vehicle,’ the release reads.

Police are still asking anyone with information to call them at (814) 237-1172.
