State police at Rockview on Thursday morning released the name of a woman killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday night on U.S. Route 322 in Potter Township.
Just before 7 p.m., 68-year-old Marjorie Kay Goodman was driving a pickup truck eastbound on Route 322 at the 3100 block of General Potter Highway, between Krise Valley Road and Route 144. Police said Goodman crossed into the westbound lane in an attempt to pass a tractor trailer. Another tractor trailer traveling westbound at about 35 miles per hour and driven by 23-year-old Cordarious Jefferson collided head-on with the pickup truck.
Goodman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Centre Hall and Boalsburg fire companies and Mifflin County Emergency Management responded.
The road, which is in the Potters Mills Gap project work zone, was closed until about midnight.
