A Penn State student was assaulted early Thursday morning in front of 434 E. College Ave., State College police reported Friday.
Police it happened about 2:30 a.m. The victim had stepped out of the nearby McDonald’s, 442 E. College Ave., to make a call on his cell phone, according to a police report.
He walked across Sowers Street and was in front of Jimmy John’s when he was attacked on the sidewalk, police said. They described the suspect as a college-age black man who stands about five feet nine inches tall, has a thin build and had cornrow-style hair at the time of the attack. He was wearing a red sweatshirt and a hat, police said.
