A rape that reportedly occurred in a downtown State College residence is now under investigation. According to the Penn State Police Department the incident occurred sometime during the early morning hours Friday.
The person who reported the rape, a Penn State student, told investigators she knew the person who assaulted her.
The suspect in the case is also a Penn State student.
Penn State Police referred questions to State College Police. State College Police could not be reached for comment.
