Update: Police have identified the individuals pictured and are continuing to investigate.
The Nittany Lion Shrine lost its right ear over the weekend, and Penn State Police are looking for individuals who may have information about the damage.
Police said on Monday they are investigating an incident of criminal mischief in which the statue was damaged at about 2:30 a.m. on Sunday and they are seeking to identify individuals pictured in surveillance camera images
‘University Police are seeking assistance in identifying the pictured individuals, as they may have information pertaining to the incident,’ a university news release stated.

The ear has been cracked for decades and has come off on three previous occasions, twice in acts of vandalism and once accidentally. Police had said on Sunday the broken piece was in their possession and they were unsure if the damage this time was accidental or the result of vandalism.
Anyone with information about the incident or the identity of those pictured should contact Penn State Police at 814-863-1111 or submit tips to Centre County CrimeStoppers at tip@centrecountycrimestoppers.org.
