Prospector’s Allegheny Rib Company, a Ferguson Township restaurant known for its barbecue, has closed, StateCollege.com has learned.
Sunday was the restaurant’s last day in business, according to a message from Prospector’s.
No one answered the phone there early Monday morning. A reporter’s inquiry left there last week was not immediately answered.
Prospector’s, in the former Jethro’s space at 2080 Cato Ave., was one among a handful of barbecue-oriented eateries in the State College area.
