The annual Penn State Homecoming blood drive is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at the HUB-Robeson Center, Homecoming organizers announced.

Donors can schedule appointments in advance at https://psuredcross.org. In addition, registration tables will be open in the HUB from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.

Organizers are encouraging eligible donors to consider making double-red-cell donations, as well. To be eligible for the double-red-cell donations, men must weigh more than 130 pounds and stand taller than five feet one inch; women must weigh at least 150 pounds and stand at least five feet five inches tall.

The fist 75 successful donors on Friday will receive Chipotle gift cards. Spirit points will be available to donors from eligible competing organizations.

‘This blood drive aligns with Homecoming’s goals to encourage community service and continue the great Penn State tradition of philanthropy,’ a news release reads.

Homecoming week will formally start on Sunday.
