A portion of Route 322/Boal Avenue between Boalsburg and Potters Mills was closed for nearly four hours Monday afternoon after a tractor-trailer crash, according to State College police.
The crash happened just after noon on the 2000 block of Boal Avenue near Tait Farm. Centre County dispatch reported at the time that the crash involved two vehicles and no injuries but a potential hazard. One of the vehicles was carrying propane that was not leaking, dispatch said, when Boalsburg Fire Company was first called to the scene.
‘No leaks or hazmat but due to damage and need to tow, closure could be lengthy,’ a PennDOT spokesperson said in an email.
The road reopened around 4 p.m. During the closure, drivers were advised to bypass the area using Routes 45 and 144.
In addition to Boalsburg Fire Company and State College police, Alpha and Centre Hall fire police responded.
