Part of Interstate 80 in Centre County was closed for more than three hours Thursday evening after a multi-vehicle crash.

I-80 westbound was closed between Exit 173 at Lamar and exit 163 at Howard after two tractor-trailers were involved in a crash with entrapment just after 5 p.m. around mile marker 168 in Marion Township, according to PennDOT and Centre County dispatch reports.

The road was reopened by 8:40 p.m., though residual delays persisted afterward.
