Several grass parking lots around Beaver Stadium will be closed for Saturday’s Penn State-Iowa football game because of current and forecasted conditions .

‘Intercollegiate Athletics utilizes several intramural fields for football parking and this week’s rain will continue to cause more damage to the fields with fall intramural sports still in progress for Penn State students,’ an athletic department news release said.

Those who park in paved lots will be unaffected. Vehicles with permits for the affected areas will be directed to other lots. Fans also are being asked to carpool and avoid bringing RVs, unless they have a permit for paved parking.

General game day parking is still available for open lots. A map of game day parking areas can be found at GoPSUsports.com/gameday.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Yellow Lot 12, the Orange Preferred Car, Brown Preferred and Family Friendly lots will be closed on Saturday. Changing weather forecasts could force the closure of additional lots.

– Yellow Lot 12: Fans will be re-directed to Lot 11 and then to East Deck, Nittany Deck or Red A. Fans who normally park in Lot 12 should approach the campus from the west off Atherton Street to Park Avenue. Other Yellow lots will be available from the east from I-99/U.S. 322

– Brown and Orange Lots: Brown and Orange parking permits will be honored at Innovation Park, Grange Park, Nittany Parking Deck, Red A and in all Yellow lots (other than Lot 12). To access Innovation Park, cars should approach from the east off I-99 or from the west off I-99/U.S. 322.

A free Innovation Park shuttle for fans with cars will be provided, with trips to Beaver Stadium starting at 11 a.m. Saturday. The shuttle will operate after the game for approximately 45 minutes. RVs are not permitted at Innovation Park on game day.

– Family Friendly Lot: Patrons should park in a Yellow lot with their regularly issued parking permit location.
