State College police are investigating after a man was found dead next to the Beaver Avenue parking garage on Monday morning, marking the second time in the past month that a person died next to a downtown garage.

A 31-year-old man “was found to have suffered fatal injuries consistent with a fall from above” after being discovered at about 6:50 a.m. on Monday in “an area next to” the parking garage at 200 W. Beaver Ave., police wrote in a media release.

There is currently no indication of foul play, according to the release.

The Centre County Coroner’s Office and police are awaiting toxicology results.

Anyone who may have information about this incident is asked to contact the State College Police Department at (814) 234-7150, by email or by submitting an anonymous

On March 18, a 22-year-old was found dead next to the Fraser Street Parking Garage and police said at the time that the person had fatal injuries consistent with a fall from above. Centre County Coroner Scott Sayers said on Monday that his office is still waiting on toxicology results in that case.
