State College police are looking for three suspects they believe stole wallets at the same store on two different occasions and may have committed similar crimes elsewhere in Pennsylvania.
Police say the suspects used purloined credit cards to make at least $9,000 worth of purchases.
The three pictured suspects stole a wallet from a person’s shopping cart on May 26 at Giant Food Stores, 2121 S. Atherton St. and left the scene in a white sedan, according to a Pennsylvania Crimestoppers release. Police say they then used the person’s credit cards to illicitly pay for $7,000 worth of merchandise.

A similar incident involving the same suspects allegedly occurred at the same store on Dec. 13.
They allegedly stole a wallet from someone’s shopping cart and used one of the pilfered debit cards to fraudulently buy more than $2,000 in merchandise from Sam’s Club, 381 Benner Pike. The suspects used a previously lost or stolen Sam’s Club membership belonging to a customer of the store’s Peckville location to make the purchases, according to the release.
Police believe the suspects may have been involved in similar incidents and witnesses reported observing them in Ferguson Township and Altoona.
