Penn State’s Student Farm will host a celebration of the summer solstice from 6 to 8 p.m. onThursday (June 21) at the farm on Big Hollow Road.
Those who attend the event will have the opportunity to spend part of the longest day of the year on a tour of the farm, which produces some of the herbs, fruits, and vegetables used in Penn State’s dining halls.
Taste Buds Kitchen State College’s food truck be on hand, with local band Hometime providing entertainment. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to sit on and are also welcome to bring their own picnic dinners. Guests should wear sturdy shoes.
The Student Farm asks that guests don’t bring any pets to the event to keep the produce growing on the farm safe.
