‘Toward Daylight,’ a local documentary film about suicide, depression and survivorship, particularly in Centre County, will premiere Sunday at the State Theatre in State College.
The film was created by students and faculty members in Penn State’s College of Communications. It focuses on personal local stories, incorporates healthy-living advice and promotes local resources available to help prevent suicide and treat depression.
Sunday’s premiere will be free and open to the public. It is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m., and it will be followed by a panel discussion featuring those involved in the film.
The State Theatre is at 130 W. College Ave. The documentary is not recommended for viewing by children.
