A new name, menu and look are ready to debut at the former location of Lettermans Sports Grill in State College
Tailgate Sports Bar & Grill, 1301 E. College Ave., will celebrate its grand opening beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
The closest bar and restaurant to Beaver Stadium and the Bryce Jordan Center, Tailgate embraces its proximity to Penn State and the center of the Nittany Lion sports scene.

The menu features a variety of burgers, sandwiches, wraps, tacos, appetizers, wings, soups and salads, as well as homemade entrees. A place for a family meal, it also features a children’s menu as well. Check out the full menu here.
Located in front of the Hampton Inn, the building previously held Damon’s Grill. After renovations, it reopened as Lettermans in 2015.
After a change in ownership in the fall, the restaurant continued operating as Lettermans and kept on the previous staff, a restaurant representative said on Friday.
The restaurant, which also offers catering services, includes a dining room and a bar with televisions.
Tailgate’s hours are listed as 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
