State College Police are investigating a reported burglary that occurred at a house under construction at Lot #12, Florence Way, in College Township. The house is located just south of the Mt. Nittany Middle School.
The burglary took place between Thursday, Nov. 2 at 4:00 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 3 at 7:00 a.m., police said. During the incident, the thieves entered a house that is under construction and three tool trailers parked on the construction site. The suspects stole numerous tools including: two generators, a Stihl multi-purpose saw, an industrial scientific atmospheric monitor, a Dewalt air compressor, two pair of inlet lifting lugs, a Topcon surveyor’s level, a Klein high voltage tool kit, a Milwaukee Hawk hammer drill, concrete drill bits, masonry tools and spools of copper wiring, as well as numerous other tools.
The total loss exceeds $33,000.00.
Due to the volume of tools stolen, it is believed the actors used a large truck or several pickup trucks to carry the items from the scene.
Anyone with information about this burglary is asked to call the State College Police at (814) 234-7150 or submit an anonymous tip online.
