Penn State defensive end Torrence Brown’s season came to an end in week three when he was carted with a right knee injury during his team’s victory over Georgia State. On Tuesday, he received a little pick-me-up from one diehard Penn State fan.

The Tuscaloosa, Ala., native received a package of chocolate chip cookies from Zack, who is part of the LifeLink program at Penn State. Chocolate chip cookies make everybody feel better when they’re feeling down, so it was an excellent choice.

Brown, who appeared in all 14 of Penn State’s games last year, certainly appreciated the gesture.

The story has already begun to go viral on Twitter. On Thursday morning, the two tweets had already logged more than 11,000 retweets and 45,000 likes since the story first hit social media on Wednesday evening.

Zack and the rest of the Penn State community will get a chance to see the Nittany Lions in action again on Saturday, when they take on Indiana at 3:30 p.m. at Beaver Stadium.
