Tree trimming on several streets will result in lane closures and possible travel delays in State College through the end of April.
Asplundh Tree crews will be conducting the work for West Penn Power. The project will require crews to occupy sidewalk, on-street parking, and one travel lane in each work area between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Trimming will be done on Penfield Road, Walnut Spring Lane, Easterly Parkway, East Waring and East Irvin Avenues, East Hamilton Avenue, West Highland Alley, I and T Alleys, West High Street, South Burrowes Street, and West Irvin Avenue.
The work is expected to continue through April 28. Drivers and pedestrians are reminded to use caution when traveling through the work areas.
Road closure
East Nittany Avenue, between Apple Alley and Berry Alley, will be closed from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3.
The State College Borough Water Authority will be installing water service during that time.
