State College Regional Airport will give Penn State football fans another option for traveling to the Nittany Lions’ highly anticipated game at Ohio State this fall.

United Airlines has added a direct roundtrip flight from State College to John Glenn Columbus International Airport on Oct. 31, the day before Penn State takes on the Buckeyes.

The 50-seat flight will depart State College at 2 p.m. that Friday and arrive in Columbus at 3:24 p.m., according to information on the United website. The return trip on Nov. 2 leaves Columbus at noon and arrives in State College at 1:08 p.m.

Tickets prices range from $199 to $349 on the United website as of Friday afternoon.

United has in recent years offered special direct flights for major college football regular season and postseason games around the country, including to and from State College.

The State College-Columbus trip is one of 24 special flights being offered by the airline during the 2025 football season.

“From historic touchdowns to once-in-a-lifetime plays, these are the moments fans never forget and there’s nothing like being there to witness it live,” James Starnes, director of domestic Scheduling at United, said in a statement. “We’ve added flights across the country to some of the biggest college football matchups, giving fans more options to get in on the action and follow their team on the road this season.”
