An intersection on the University Park campus will be closed starting Monday, May 8, and continuing through May 25.
The intersection of University Drive and Curtin Road will be closed during that time for utility work.
Access to the sections of Lot Yellow H at Shields Building and the IM Building will be available by traveling east on Curtin Road from Bigler Road and points west, according to a university release. Access to the Yellow H parking south of Pegula Ice Arena, Lot Yellow V and the west entrance to Lot 44 via Dauer Drive will be available by traveling north on University Drive from College Avenue and points south.
Several CATA bus stops will be closed during the intersection closure as well:
• Stop 148 – Curtin Road at McCoy Natatorium
• Stop 149 – Curtin Road at Shields Building
• Stop 287- Curtin Road at Bryce Jordan Center
• Stop 355 – Curtin Road at Stadium West Parking
• Stop 154 – Curtin Road at the Intramural Building
• Stop 155 – East Halls at Curtin Hall
• Stop 152 – University Drive at Lot 83 West
• Stop 153 – University Drive at Jordan Center Gate D
Detours will also be in effect for the B, C, M, HP, XB and XG routes and the Blue Loop and Red Link.
• Blue Loop – Traveling eastbound on Curtin, the route will turn left onto Bigler Road, right onto Park Avenue and right on Porter Road, where it will resume normal routing. A temporary stop will be available on Bigler Road.
• Red Link Eastbound and HP to Toftrees Geisinger Grays Woods: Traveling eastbound on Curtin, the routes will turn right onto Bigler, left onto Hastings Road, left onto University Drive, right onto Dauer Drive and left onto Porter Road, where they will resume normal routing.
• Red Link Westbound and HP to Scenery Park: From the intersection of East Park Avenue and Fox Hollow Road, the routes will turn south onto Porter Road, right onto Dauer Road, left onto University Drive, right onto Hastings Road, right onto Bigler Road and left onto Curtin Road, where they will resume normal routing.
• Inbound B, C, M, XB, XG: From the intersection of East College Avenue and University Drive, the routes will turn left onto Hastings Road, right ontoBigler Road and left onto Curtin Road, where they will resume normal routing. A temporary stop will be available on Bigler Road near Curtin Road.
• Outbound B: Traveling eastbound on Curtin, the route will turn right on Bigler Road, left on Hastings Road and right on University Drive, where it will resume normal routing.
Campus Shuttle stops 2 (IM Building) and 3 (East Halls) will be closed during this time as well. Those who normally use these stops are directed to use stop 4 at the Computer Building.
