President Barack Obama will tour labs at University Park and deliver remarks during his planned Penn State visit on Wednesday, the White House confirmed late Friday.

But it remained unclear exactly when and where the president will be on campus. No details about public access to presidential events have been announced, either.

‘While at Penn State, the president will tour labs focused on energy-efficient building solutions and deliver remarks on the importance of investing in innovation and clean energy to put people back to work, grow the economy and win the future,’ reads a late-afternoon statement from the White House.

Earlier Friday, the White House and Penn State both announced that Obama will be at University Park on Wednesday. His visit will focus on energy research, particularly the federally backed Energy Innovation Hub for which Penn State is providing leadership in Philadelphia, according to the prior announcements.

StateCollege.com will post additional details about Obama’s visit as they become available. More information will be forthcoming, according to the White House.
